| WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE DO |
Cav for Kosovo (Coordination of Voluntary Associations) was formed in Italy
in 1999. It includes different Italian Voluntary Associations and has its
registered office in Appiano Gentile (Como-Italy) while its base in Kosovo
is in the town of K. Mitrovica.
CAV cannot rely on financial support neither by governmental bodies nor
public corporations.
All the activities, financed with funds risen in Italy, are carried out by
Italian voluntary workers with the help of local people participating for
free to our activities.
Our NGO has been working in Mitrovica since June 1999, carrying out programs
which include:
1. Administration of a refectory for refugees in Mitrovica north side for
old people and single women with children;
2. Material assistance (food and cleaning supplies, beds, blankets, etc...)
to families that have financial difficulties;
3. Restoration of houses, so that they get liveable for people;
4. Assistance (i.e. aid and organisation) to local (both Serbian and
Albanian) voluntary services for local projects;
5. Delivery of wood to needy families.
